I spent most of my career in user experience design, working across tech, brands, and design agencies to create digital products and experiences.
Then I became pregnant with my son.
I was surprised by how fragmented the experience of caring for yourself could be during pregnancy and postpartum. I kept wondering: Why was it so hard to find beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and sustainable self-care for this stage of life?
When my son was about a year old we moved to Los Angeles, and I walked into a baby boutique. The products for babies and children were carefully selected, beautifully designed, and made to feel special. The small selection of products for mothers felt completely different. I remember thinking: Why shouldn't we have that same experience? I went home and started Mother Mother.
I'd never designed a physical product before. But I knew how to understand people, identify what wasn't working, and design better solutions. So I started researching, talking to people, developing products, and figuring out the rest as I went.
What started with a need I couldn't find for myself has grown into a broader vision for thoughtful self-care throughout every stage of womanhood.

At Mother Mother, we believe self-care is a vital right, not a luxury. But we also know that not all mothers receive the care and support they deserve. In the U.S., Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, a devastating statistic rooted in systemic racism and medical bias.
10% of all Postpartum Recovery Bundle profits are donated to Black doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, and organizations working to end the Black maternal health crisis. By supporting these birth workers, we aim to create a safer, more equitable future for all mothers.
